So, Joel Sartore came down to my University to talk about his experiences in shooting for national geographic, as well as some of the things that he's learned in general, pertaining to some of his big life events. I love the fact that his life is cataloged in his mind, by order of the big stories in his life. I like that, that'd be a fun way to remember how your life has progressed. Y'know what I mean? he did a wonderful segment about how cancer can be both a demon, and a blessing in disguise, and I never really thought about it that way, I'm really into the way he thinks, it's different from what I'm used to hearing, and that really has drawn me into the experience. the presentation as a whole just made me feel so alive.. as you guys well know, I haven't written a journal in what, 3 months? I really haven't felt very motivated to do so, other than ranting about things which have been bothering me in the past, which, isn't really my style, so I've avoided writing journals because of that. Today was a really good day, hopefully he'll be impressed by my photography, he said that I could send him an email, and that he'd check into nat'l geo about some internships they may have open, at this point, I really will take anything I can get, in order to get me working for the magazine. I've just sent him the email just now, and I gave him a link to this site, so, odds are, he may end up reading this oh well, a glimpse into my mind I feel a lot better now, totally waiting for him to get back to me idk if I'm going to get anywhere with the internships, I haven't gotten any offers thus far, so I'd like to see what the opportunities are
